Yes, Buddy Cakes are made in a dedicated space that is gluten, dairy and egg free. As for soy, nuts and tree nuts, our shared kitchen does occasionally contain these ingredients, however, we take extra precautions to clean and sanitize, in addition to using our own equipment, to ensure we eliminate any unsafe allergens. We take cross contamination very seriously!
Although we do not have the official gluten free certification, our cakes and frosting have been put through testing and far exceed the official requirements to be labeled “gluten free”.
We’ve got you covered! Just bake at 400 degrees in either a single muffin pan or small ramekin, for 9-10 minutes depending on your oven.
Yes! These make great bite sized treats as well! One cake packet makes roughly 8 mini cupcake bites.
Yes, any liquid will work as the liquid is needed for activating the rising ingredients in the cakes. We have used coffee in the chocolate, orange juice and other liquids which all work fine! (Various liquors work well too….don’t judge😉)
Our cakes and frosting have been tested up to 9 months shelf life. In order to ensure the freshness, please store in a cool dry area.
Our frosting is more of a paste because we use pure clean, minimal ingredients. To keep them shelf stable, we do not add additional liquid to thin them out. Once placed on the hot cake, however, they melt and transform into the most delicious gooey frosting that we have been told is a guilty “squeeze snack” of its own!
